MAT 2017 preparation Exam Pattern – MAT is conducted as a Computer-based standardized test, candidates are selected on the basis of their Quantitative Ability (QA), Verbal Ability (VA) and Reading Comprehension (RC), Data Interpretation (DI) and Logical Reasoning (LR), and Indian and Global Environment. The duration of the exam is 150 minutes as per MAT Exam Pattern. Total 200 questions are asked.

Every year, Quantitative Ability section and Verbal section hold 40 questions each, just as the Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning section hold 40 questions. The questions are set in objective mode. Total duration of the MAT exam is 150 minutes. The test takers can switch between the sections. The Section that comprise MAT Question Paper are-

  • VARC
  • DI
  • LR, and
  • QA
  • Indian and Global Environment

For Appearing in the exam, the candidates should have Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification (recognized by HRD Ministry, Government of India) with a minimum of 45%. For candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD category, the minimum score is 40%).

Candidates appearing for final exams in are also eligible to take up MAT. But the necessary documents have to be submitted before. IIM has a strict verification process, hence check all the documents carefully before submitting them.

MAT Verbal Ability Important Topics

Verbal Ability is the defined as capability of a candidates in expressing ideas using words in a clearly understandable manner. Verbal Ability is a very important component of competitive examinations primarily management entrance exams such as Common Admission Test and others like CAT, XAT, SNAP and international entrances like GRE and GMAT.
